I've been meaning to try out the new Move controls, but I still haven't. I'll have to try it eventually, but until Gran Turismo 5 stops spinning in my PS3 for more than a few minutes it'll have to wait. Meanwhile, there's a very good reason why Heavy Rain was the first game I included in this list- which is because it's definitely at the forefront of my choices. I tend to lean toward games that take chances and do things differently when I think about my favorites, and while Indigo Prophecy was an interesting experiment for these guys (Quantic Dream), Heavy Rain is a huge step forward. Hopefully it doesn't get lost among the other nominees from the top gaming websites, because I'll certainly never forget playing it.

Any experience playing this with the Move? I would imagine it would increase the immersion with the story (which was already substantial). While it left a few bits of the story arc unexplained or unsupported, this game haunted me until its completion. Especially as a father of a son who is right around the age of the infamous "JASON!" this game took hold of me like few others have. I finished Heavy Rain not only satisfied but emotionally moved, and there were several standout moments that I will never forget. There are contenders out there, but this one gets my vote for #1 of 2010.
